2. Installation: We professionally install Windows Server 2022 Standard onto the server’s boot drive (e.g., your SSD RAID 1 array).
3. Activation: We use this purchased, genuine Microsoft license key (from the DVD pack) to activate the operating system.
4. Configuration (Our Service): This is the most important part. We configure the critical “Server Roles” your business needs, such as setting up your Active Directory domain, creating user accounts, and configuring your secure file shares.

Please read this carefully. This is how Microsoft licensing works.

• 1. The 16-Core Base License:
  • This “16-Core License” is the minimum purchase required for any physical server, regardless of how few cores it has.
  • This license perfectly covers any server with up to 16 processor cores (e.g., the Dell R450 with its 16-Core Xeon Silver 4314).
  • IF YOUR SERVER HAS MORE CORES: If you have a server with 24 cores, you must purchase this 16-Core pack plus an additional 8-Core License Pack to be compliant. You must license all physical cores.
• 2. CALs (Client Access Licenses) ARE REQUIRED:
  • This license DOES NOT include any “user” licenses.
  • To be legally compliant, you must purchase a Windows Server 2022 CAL (Client Access License) for every user or every device that will access this server.
  • These are sold separately. (e.g., if you have 25 employees, you need to buy 25x User CALs).
• 3. RDS CALs (Remote Desktop):
  • If you plan to use this as a Remote Desktop (Terminal) Server, you must buy CALs again.
  • In addition to the standard CALs, you also need to buy RDS CALs for every user connecting.
