How It Works

IMPORTANT: This is a Reader, Not a Controller.

This device is a secure reader that must be connected to a central controller (the “brain”) to function.

1. Professional Installation: The DS-K1201AMF is professionally installed (by Compufi) at the door.
2. Controller Connection: It is wired via RS-485 or Wiegand to a separate Access Control Panel (e.g., a Hikvision DS-K2600 series, sold separately). This panel stores all user data and access rules.
3. User Enrollment: User fingerprints and Mifare cards are enrolled at a central PC using a USB enrolment station (like the DS-K1F800-F for fingerprints or DS-K1F100-D8E for cards).
4. Access Granted: A user presents their fingerprint or card. The reader securely sends the data to the control panel. The panel verifies the user and sends a signal to your electric lock to open the door.

• PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION: This is a B2B component and requires wiring and setup by a qualified technician.
• POWER SUPPLY: Requires a 12V DC power supply, which is not included.
• CARD TYPE: This is a Mifare (13.56 MHz) reader. It is NOT compatible with older 125KHz (Prox/EM) cards.
• FINGERPRINT ENROLLMENT: To add fingerprints, you must use a separate USB Fingerprint Enroller (like the DS-K1F800-F, sold separately) connected to your management PC.
